I just downloaded the latest VBR MP3 and the bit rate is 230 kbps. The previous file in list, which has a similar sound structure, was about 175 kbps. This difference in the bit rate between these 2 files accounts for the 25% increase in VBR file's size. The question I still have is why, and has the sound quality been affected, either positively or negatively?
